Gann Asphalt & Concrete, Kansas City’s premier paving and pavement maintenance contractor, is proud to join the MO Department of Transportation (MoDOT) in its Buckle Up Phone Down campaign. As a company committed to blacktop safety in MO and KS communities, we understand the importance of promoting responsible driving habits.
Promoting Road Safety: Gann Asphalt & Concrete Joins MoDOT’s Buckle Up Phone Down Campaign
Ninety-four percent of crashes are attributed to human error, including distracted driving, so raising awareness and encouraging safer behaviors on the road is imperative. Our partnership with MoDOT underscores our dedication to creating safer roadways in Missouri and Kansas.
As part of this safety initiative, MoDOT asks motorists to complete the Buckle Up, Phone Down challenge. The MO Department of Transportation asks “Missouri motorists and businesses to pledge to use seatbelts on any vehicle in motion on Missouri roads while setting their phones aside for a less distracting time to talk or text.” By accepting this challenge, our organization has agreed to start better road safety with our crew. All Gann Asphalt & Concrete employees will be buckled up with their phones down while driving to and from every paving project we undertake.
MoDOT’s initiative, aimed at reducing distracted driving and promoting seatbelt usage, aligns seamlessly with our values of creating safer asphalt in the region. With over 30 years of experience, we offer comprehensive asphalt and concrete paving solutions to municipalities and businesses across the region. We provide tailored solutions to enhance the safety and efficiency of local paved areas by conducting thorough assessments of asphalt and concrete surfaces.
